At customer's request, DHL clears the shipment through customs in the destination country and arranges the payment of any import duties, taxes and fees to a DHL account in the country of departure or a third country instead of charging them to the consignee in the destination country.

This service is of particular interest to online retailers, as their buyers know the final price at the time of purchase.

Please note that this service is not available in all destination countries.

For shipments with particularly valuable contents, you can choose additional transport insurance against loss or damage. The insurance premium refers to the value of the shipment.

With our Automated Export Declaration Service you leave the declaration of your dutiable export shipments with customs in the two-stage export procedure to us. We declare your shipment via ATLAS and create the export accompanying document (ABD) for you, which includes five tariff items.

Financial security for loss of document shipments. In the event of loss, the customer receives a EUR 500 refund regardless of the shipment value.

SATURDAY DELIVERY

With this service your urgent shipments reach their destination in many parts of Europe even on Saturdays. This service is not available for Day Definite International.

DUTY TAX IMPORTER

DHL clears the shipment at destination and arranges for any applicable import duties, taxes and regulatory charges to be invoiced to a specified DHL account at destination. The duty tax payer will be invoiced an extra charge based on a flat rate or a percentage of the fiscal charges that were advanced.
 

NEUTRAL DELIVERY

Delivery of a dutiable consignment of goods without a commercial/proforma invoice to the consignee.
 

RESIDENTIAL ADDRESS

Customers shipping to a home or private residence can activate specific delivery options by designating the delivery address as residential. For such shipments, DHL Express will proactively notify the receiver via email or SMS about the shipment's progress. Receivers can then select the most suitable delivery option via On Demand Delivery.
 

DIRECT SIGNATURE

If you are sending sensitive documents or high value contents you can request DHL to obtain a direct signature from the consignee or a representative at the delivery address. DHL will ensure your shipment is not re-directed, or delivered at an alternative address.
 

SIGNATURE RELEASE

Delivery takes place on the instructions of the sender or also the recipient - possible via our On Demand Delivery Service - without a signature to a previously determined drop-off location (e.g. in the case of letterbox drop-off).

VISUAL AGE CHECK

At customer's request, DHL Express will obtain a delivery signature from an adult at the stipulated delivery address. DHL Express may request the recipient to show a personal document bearing photograph and date of birth.

With this service, CO2 emissions from air transport are reduced through the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).

GoGreen Plus - CO2 Emissions Reduced Shipping helps you reduce your Scope 3 emissions in line with the Science Based Targets initiative. The service is audited annually by SGS (Société Générale de Surveillance) to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
 

CHANGE OF BILLING

This applies when a customer requests a change of defined billing information on an already issued invoice, which will result in a reissuing of the invoice and, in case of an account change, crediting of the old account and debiting of the new.
 

BONDED TRANSIT DOCUMENTS

The transit procedure for dutiable international consignments from a customs warehouse prepared by a consignor, which are forwarded via DHL Express under a customs bond.
