Delivery is always documented by the deliverer, including delivery of notified items to a retail outlet or to a Packstation. Additionally, the service Paketstopp will be available from 03/01/2025.

What do I have to consider when posting a DHL Kleinpaket item?
You may seal your DHL Kleinpaket items before posting them. Deutsche Post is, however, permitted to open them for inspection purposes.
Items are to be posted at Deutsche Post postal outlets or bulk mail acceptance offices; letterboxes can also be used for up to 20 items (item size permitting). DHL Kleinpaket items may not be posted at Packstations or parcel shops or be handed over to a parcel carrier.
Larger volumes of DHL Kleinpaket items are to be posted or held for collection separately from other items and separated into items <3 cm and >=3 cm thick. Mail trays or mail tray carts, if used, must always be properly labeled.

Can I still sign a contract for Warenpost in 2024?
Yes, the conditions for Warenpost apply until December 31, 2024. From the beginning of 2025, the contract will automatically be switched to DHL Kleinpaket. We will inform you about the date; from then on, these new conditions shall apply.

Will there be special information for customers with their own programming or self-generated labels?
Yes, customers with their own programming or self-generated labels receive the adapted specifications and requirements documents from their CIS consultants and online via the Group API Developer Portal at developer.dhl.com.

What needs to be changed in the company's own programming at the beginning of 2025?
In the ordering and billing systems at DHL and in yours, only the product name will be changed. Everything else (product number, billing numbers, number ranges) will remain the same. From the beginning of 2025, only the new name "DHL Kleinpaket" will be transmitted to you via all interfaces.

Is there a parallel operation with the "old" Warenpost and the "new" product DHL Kleinpaket?
That is not possible. Only a change of name will take place in the IT systems. All other changes have no relevance for the interfaces to you and in our internal IT systems.

Where can transit time and changes in height have an impact on customer-specific systems?
Regardless of the ordering and billing process, you may have to make adjustments, e.g. if you switch to the expanded dimensions in sorting. Since this varies greatly from customer to customer, you will receive information in good time so that you can prepare for these changes.

Questions about the outlook from January 01, 2025
What happens if shipments with a label marked "Warenpost" are still posted after January 1, 2025?
The shipments will continue to be accepted and produced regularly until April 1, 2025.
After April 1, 2025, it can no longer be guaranteed that all product features - especially the scan - will be carried out at the recipient's front door with the usual very high quality.
