With the ATLAS Participant Info 0393/2023 dated 02.01.2023, supplemented by ATLAS participant info 0501/23 dated 28.08.2023, all ATLAS users were informed that with the migration to AES 3.0, further data fields in the export declarations will become mandatory.

Regarding the Individual Fields
Carrier
Previously, the carrier was not required to be indicated in this context. Now the carrier should be indicated in the export declaration as follows:
DHL Express Germany GmbH / EORI DE2477343 0000 - establishment number: 0000
(The uniform nationwide use of this EORI number of the head office was confirmed as correct by the Generalzolldirektion, Zentrale Auskunft).
Domestic mode of transport to the border and registration number of the outgoing means of transport
With the previous version of ATLAS AES, the information on the type and identification number of the outgoing means of transport was not required in the export declaration. Now the domestic mode of transport to the border must be indicated with code: "3" (truck movement).
The license plate number of the vehicle must be correctly indicated, if known. Since the shipper will not know the license plate(s) of the vehicles, the second rule applies: the presumed license plate number can be indicated. This leaves enough room for everyone to choose the license plate number.
Mode of transport at the border (DDI/ESI) and registration number of the cross-border means of transport
Before ATLAS AES 3.0 this information was optional. Now the mode of transport at the border must be indicated with "3" (truck) for DDI/ESI services or with "4" (aircraft) for TDI services. For the choice of the license plate the same regulation applies as for the mode of transport up to the border. In addition, the type of means of transport (in capital letters) may also be indicated as an alternative means of identification. For example: "HGV" or "AIRCRAFT".
