The power of attorney will be saved in your customer account, so it only needs to be granted once.
Book your shipment in MyDHL+ as usual along with a pick-up on the next working day.
For us to prepare the export acconpanying document you need to complete the AES oder and send it to the AES Service desk together with the previously created shipping label and any other attatchments.
We require one order per individual EAD. Each EAD includes up to five tariff headings.
Please send the AES order one business day before the shipment by 12 PM at the latest (Monday to Thursday).
The AES Service Desk reviews the documents and electronically declares the export shipment to the customs authority via ATLAS. You will receive the export accompanying document (EAD) by the next business day at the latest.
The DHL Express driver collects the shipment with all accompanying documents. After customs clearance at the DHL hub, you will receive the export confirmation from the AES Service Desk.

The service includes the registration of your shipment with customs and the preparation of the required EAD. The costs for the service are tacked onto the price displayed in the online shipping system, as they are added after the shipment has been created. On the invoice, it will appear under the item 'Export Declaration'.
The creation of the EAD usually takes 24 hours. This is primarily because the EAD can only be issued after the process (goods, commodity codes, certificates, etc.) has been reviewed by the customs office of export and a possible customs inspection has been conducted.
If the AES order and the necessary documents are received by 12 PM (Monday to Thursday), you will receive the export accompanying document the next business day (not on Saturday). If the AES order is received after 12 PM, you will receive the EAD on the second business day. Please keep this in mind when scheduling the pickup.
Yes, once the export shipment has been declared to customs, the export accompanying document will be prepared. This contains the MRN number assigned by customs.

In order to use the AES Automated Export Declaration Service with DHL Paperless Trade, a function must be enabled in your online shipping system that allows you to interrupt the shipment creation process and temporarily save your entries. This is because the MRN number, which you only receive after the customs declaration (and therefore after using the AES Automated Export Declaration Service), must be entered during the subsequent booking process. To save your entries temporarily and successfully complete the shipment creation process later with the complete information, you need this feature to be activated in your MyDHL+ customer account. If customs decide to inspect the shipment, they will appear within the time window you specified in the order. You will not receive prior notification from DHL Express about this, as customs do not inform us in advance about the inspection. Therefore, we ask you to have the shipment ready for inspection by customs at the specified location during the specified time window. Any costs incurred by the customs inspection will be additionally charged to you.
