All registered DHL customers will find an individual sustainability overview of the shipments they have received in their personal area in the customer account.
Thank you for your feedback.
In order for us to be able to allocate all received shipments to you as far as possible, it is important that your data matches when ordering in the online shop and in the DHL customer account (e. g. complete and correct spelling of first and last name, identical e-mail address, Post number if applicable, etc.).
Our tip: Do you want to make your customer account even more secure and the receipt of parcels more convenient? When registering for one of our premium services, such as Packstation or digital notification, you will go through an address and recipient validation. This also increases the reliability of the allocation of shipments to your customer account.
Thank you for your feedback.
The sustainability overview takes into account the greenhouse gases listed in the GHG Protocol (Greenhouse Gas Protocol): CO2, methane, nitrogen oxide and fluorinated gases in CO2 equivalents (CO2e).
- Carbon dioxide or carbon dioxide (CO2) is a gas consisting of carbon and oxygen. Along with nitrogen, oxygen and noble gases, CO2 is a natural component of air. Although air consists of only 0.038% CO2, it is one of the most important greenhouse gases and contributes significantly to climate change.
- CO2 equivalents or CO2e, on the other hand, is a unit of measurement that makes greenhouse gases (e. g. methane and carbon dioxide) comparable with each other by converting them into an equivalent amount of CO2 based on their climate change impact.
Thank you for your feedback.
We would like to give you an idea of how much greenhouse gas emissions can be saved through sustainable shipping and receiving. For example, burning 1 litre of diesel (passenger car) produces 2.65 kg of CO2e. If you are generally interested in your sustainability balance, you can find the CO2 calculator of the Federal Environment Agency here: https://uba.co2-rechner.de/en_GB/.
